Just a quick post to show you guys the disc brake rotor offered up on the tomos wheel. I need to redrill the holes in the rotor to match the holes for the rear sprocket then bingo! A disk brake wheel :-)

Tomos sealer bearing conversion 2
Today I fitted a new 12mm axle to the rear wheel as the new bearings required a larger axle. I made some aluminium spacers so the front and rear sprockets lined up. I need to order an new chain before I can give it a test ride.

Tomos sealed bearing conversion
Today I thought I would start on building up the new rear wheel by installing sealed bearings. (Bearings are 6201 12mm x 32 x 10mm) This should hopefully give me less rolling resistance. After id popped out the old bearing cups I cleaned where the new bearings would go and heated it up with a heat gun to expand the metal. Once the centre of the wheel was nice and hot the bearing slipped in nice and easily.
Nexted I installed a new 20t rear sprocket with new bolts but I still need to get hold of some locking nuts.
